Unleashed by Petco at 4720 NW Bethany Blvd., will be hosting a “Better Together” mega adoption event on Saturday, April 25. The event is part of Unleashed by Petco’s initiative to help find forever homes for thousands of pets and taking steps to be environmentally conscious to help make a better world.

Timed with the start of spring when pet adoptions are on the rise, the “Better Together” mega adoption event will feature adoptable animals from local animal rescue partners including Oregon Humane Society, Golden Bond Rescue, Pixie Project, Cat Adoption Team, Oregon Ferret Shelter, OFOSA – Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals, Paw Team, Cats Cradle, and Animal Aid. Unleashed by Petco will also be hosting a pet food can recycling drive. All funds raised from can recycling goes to the Petco Foundation to help rescues and shelters across the nation.

Event attendees can take advantage of the following promotions and family-friendly activities at the store including:

  • On-site caricature artist
  • Play pet-themed games and take home great giveaways at the Unleashed booth
  • $10 self-serve dog wash
  • Free jerky samples from Spot Farms, as well as coupons and samples from Live Free
  • New pet toy demonstrations by Outward Hound
  • New adoption pet parents will have access to Petco’s New Companion Care Pack, which includes hundreds of dollars of savings and special giveaways.

Unleashed by Petco is committed to helping homeless pets find forever homes by posting pictures of adoptable pets in stores and hosting monthly adoption events, and going green by recycling pet food cans and offering earth-friendly products in stores.
