As “Legends of Tomorrow” gets closer to trying to destroy Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) once and for all, there’s big things on the horizon for Jax (Franz Drameh) and Professor Stein (Victor Garber) — and their combined form as Firestorm.

“We start really at loggerheads,” Drameh tells Zap2it of Jax and Stein’s initial connection. “They’re two completely different guys from different backgrounds.”

As in the comics though, the two sides of Firestorm have come to know and respect each other. “They kind of learn to work together and develop a really cool relationship,” he adds, which will “definitely” lead to more Firestorm in upcoming episodes.

“I think Firestorm fans are definitely going to be happy with some of the things that we’re doing,” he teases. “I can’t give away too much but it gets very dope.”

How dope? Even Drameh himself couldn’t handle what was coming.

“I read the finale and literally geeked out so hard,” he teases.

As for the torch Jax was carrying for Kendra (Ciara Renee), Drameh says, “I think there’s still a little bit of a burn, no pun intended.” It won’t be weighing on him too heavily though. After all, he continues, “Jackson and Ray develop a cool little friendship actually, which is nice to play.”

“Legends of Tomorrow” airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
