At long last, the tables are turned on Barry Allen (Grant Gustin). When “The Flash” returns, Barry’s world will be very different after he traveled back in time to save his mother’s life. One major change is the arrival of a new speedster, Kid Flash.

At a glance, it should be fairly obvious it’s Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) under the mask, but just like nobody can tell it’s Barry in the Flash suit, he’s having serious trouble figuring out the identity of Kid Flash.

Speaking to DC All Access, Gustin admits Barry is utterly clueless about the new speedster’s secret identity — he doesn’t necessarily care, though.

“He doesn’t know it’s Wally West, but Kid Flash is running around,” Gustin says in Zap2it’s exclusive deleted scene from his DC All Access interview. “And he’s like, ‘Cool, I’m just going to let you do that. I’m going to be a CSI and enjoy my parents.'”

You can’t really blame Barry for wanting to spend time with his parents, but giving how well he knows Wally and how much face the Kid Flash mask shows off, he’s got to figure it out at some point, right? After all, he knows all about hiding behind a mask.

Then again, he may be preoccupied with gaining the friendship of Iris again. If the Comic-Con sizzle reel showed fans anything, it’s that their previous relationship has been erased.

“The Flash” returns Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. You can check out the rest of the latest episode of DC All Access below.
